5 Cool Features of the Redesigned Chevy Traverse

The all-new Chevrolet Traverse was completely redesigned for the 2018 model year, and it’s loaded with amazing new features we can’t get enough of. The strikingly attractive exterior design is enough to pique your interest, but what you discover when you look a little closer is even more impressive. Read on for five of our favorite features of the redesigned 2018 Chevy Traverse.

Hands-Free Gesture Liftgate

Available on the Premier and High Country trims, loading the car just got a lot easier with the Hands-Free Gesture Liftgate. When your hands are full, all you have to do is gently kick your foot under the trunk and the liftgate will open automatically. The Traverse even projects the Chevrolet logo on the ground where your foot should go, and you can program a certain lift height to accommodate areas with low ceilings. Talk about convenience!

Smart Slide Seating

The new enhanced Smart Slide Seating is one seemingly simple feature that makes a big difference. The seats can be moved and angled forward for easy access to third-row seats—even if there’s an empty car seat in place! This feature is a lifesaver for parents trying to load kids into the car, and it’s ideal for group road trips too!

Hidden Storage

You know that awesome MyLink display with the beautiful 8-inch screen? Well, it’s more than just a high-tech hub for your all your apps and music. The display doubles as a hidden storage compartment, too! You can slide the screen up to reveal the compartment along with a USB port. The coolest part is, you can hide all your valuables like your wallet and cell phone in there and lock it with a four-digit PIN for added security. Perfect.

Surround Vision

Blind spots are a distant memory with the new Surround Vision technology. Now when you’re parking or driving at low speeds, strategically-placed cameras on all sides of the Traverse work together to give you a bird's-eye view of the vehicle. Parallel parking just became a lot less nerve-wracking!

Rear Seat Reminder

Parents and busybodies, you’re going to love this one! Now whenever you open a second-row door just before you drive, your Traverse will take note of that activity. When you end your trip and stop the car, the Rear Seat Reminder will use chimes and messages to remind you to check the back seat. So you get a little extra help with remembering to take in the groceries or making sure all the kids are accounted for. Thanks, Chevy!
