Take a Look at the All-New 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 | Landers Auto Group of Norman

It’s been 100 years since Chevrolet delivered its first trucks to customers back in 1918, and the anniversary spawned the unveiling of the bowtie brand’s newest endeavor; the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. If you want to know what’s new for the Silverado, you’re in the right place — we’ll fill you in on everything you need to know below!

Big & Bad

The all-new 2019 Silverado is bigger than the current model, sporting a wheelbase that is up to 3.9 inches longer. The truck’s overall length is about 1.6 inches longer than the 2018 model. That might not sound like much, but it actually makes a significant difference when it comes to legroom and storage space. Every cab configuration gets a larger bed too, with almost seven inches of extra floor width. So you can pack it to the max and still have space left over.

The 2019 Silverado has best-in-class cargo volume, meaning it offers the most cargo space in every bed length compared to the other guys. The roll-formed, high-strength steel bed floor is higher-grade than ever before, with a yield strength increase from 340 to 500 megapascals of pressure. The new Silverado also has 12 tie-downs, capable of holding up to 500 pounds of force before bending. That’s double what they could do before.

A number of features got an upgrade for the 2019 Silverado, including the tailgate which is now available with a class-exclusive power up/down setting that can be operated from the key fob. You can also opt for available LED rear task lighting to make working easier wherever you go.

Light & Lean

The newest Silverado might be bigger, but that doesn’t mean it gained weight. Remarkably, the truck managed to shed a whopping 450 pounds! Chevy was able to make that happen by using mixed materials and optimizing every component for mass, durability, safety and functionality. There is no part of this truck that wasn’t carefully thought out and meticulously placed.

The truck’s lighter materials work together with new design elements to create a super smooth and efficient vehicle. Aerodynamic enhancements like air curtains help improve efficiency by directing airflow around the front wheels. In the 2019 Silverado, the road ahead will always be smooth.

Comfy & Connected

The great thing about the interior of the upcoming 2019 Silverado 1500 is that it was largely influenced by customer feedback. Chevrolet listened to people like you about what you wanted to see in the truck and found that more than anything, people wanted comfier seats, more interior cargo space and more user-friendly controls. So that’s exactly what they gave us.

If storage is a big priority for you, you can get excited about the new available storage options like the two 10-liter bins that are integrated into the backs of the second-row seats. The seatback bins will be great for holding smaller items while the larger 24-liter storage trays under the seats will secure everything from tackle boxes to power tools.

The interior of the 2019 Silverado is the perfect combination of comfort and durability. Every aspect of the cabin was optimized for those two things from the texture details on the knobs to the plush seats. That means your truck will keep providing you with that much-needed comfort after a long day no matter how tough you are on it.

Completely Customized

Another thing Chevrolet heard from customers was the fact that you don’t want a one-size-fits-most truck. You want to have options, and you want to be able to choose a truck that fits you and not everybody else. Chevy took that to heart and came up with a solution that makes everyone happy.

The 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 will be offered in eight different trim levels: High Country, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, RST, LT, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and Work Truck. Each trim will offer unique features and a unique aesthetic. Work Truck, Custom and Custom Trailboss will be the trims focused on high value; LT, RST and LT Trailboss will be focused on high volume; LTZ and High Country will be feature-focused trims.
