If you are a NASCAR fan then you know the black No. 3 car, might even bring tears to your eyes. To NASCAR fans this is the epitome of nostalgic NASCAR driven by Dale Earnhardt. So what if we told you some of his race cars were being auctioned off? Well grab your wallets because it's true! Three of Earnhardt’s former No.3 race cars will be auctioned off at Mecum Auctions Phoenix event this month. Along with the nostalgic No.3 cars there will also be two No.8 race cars along with old pace cars and street cars from Earnhardt’s big collection.  


Some of the prized cars include the 1994 Chevrolet Lumina which is estimated to auction between $200,000 and $300.00. This race car is Earnhardt Sr.’s prized vehicle where we won his seventh NASCAR Cup Series title. We know this one will be a hot commodity! Also auctioning off an 1989 Lumin and a 1993 Monte Carlo both estimated to be around $75,000 to $125,000. These particular race cars aren’t winning cars but they have four-speed manual transmission and 5.8 liter V8 engines inside.   



There will also be two Earhardt Jr. cars listed. These include his famous red and white Budweiser livery and the Monte Carlo he won the 2004 Golden Corral 500 Cup Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The car has original features such as the seat, headrest and some other fundamental components. The winning Atlanta car is expected to go between $125,000 to $175,000 white the other Earnhardt Jr. car will be about $125,000.  


Now if you want something a little more affordable so the wife doesn’t get upset there will be some cheaper offerings available - these include street cars and pace cars from specific races. The street cars will range from $25,000 to $55,000. For anyone whos got some fun money to spare this is a solid collection to buy these nostalgic race cars.
