At Steve Landers Auto Group, we’re crazy about cars, and we always notice when we see a slick set of wheels on the silver screen. Right now, the world is pretty crazy, and you’re probably spending a substantial amount of time at home with a lot of time to fill. Luckily for you, we’ve compiled a list of movies and TV shows with cool cars for your next binge!

  1. “Jurassic Park” (1993)

The Jeep Wrangler in “Jurassic Park” may be the most iconic Jeep Wrangler to appear in any film. You’ve gotta watch it just for the scene where a Wrangler outruns a T-Rex!

  1. “Back to the Future” (1985)

Doc Brown creates a time travel machine from a retrofitted DMC-12 DeLorean and accidentally sends his pal Marty back to 1955! The car requires 1.21 gigawatts of power, and needs to travel 88 miles per hour so it can time travel.

  1. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (2019)

This Tarantino film is packed with over 2,000 classic cars! Watch for the 1966 Red Chevrolet Corvette, blue Volkswagen Karmann Ghia and 1968 Porsche 911!

  1. “The Italian Job” (1969)

This one also has a whole slew of awesome classics like the 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S, Alfa Romeo Giulia TI and 1967 Fiat 124 coupe!

  1. “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015)

The cars in this movie are insane. The movie’s head production designer and art director, Colin Gibson, created 88 cars for the film. Each car had its own team of mechanics and unique design. Just to give you an idea, Furiosa’s War Rig is a Czechoslovakian Tatra and Chevy Fleetmaster fused together into a six-wheel-drive 18-wheeler powered with twin V8 engines. Yeah, that’s insane.

  1. “Baby Driver” (2017)

This movie follows Baby, a music-loving orphan who just so happens to be an incredibly talented getaway driver. Baby drives a lot of cars in this film including the 1958 Edsel Pacer, 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Collectors Series, 2002 Dodge Ram Quad Cab, 2003 Ford Taurus, 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse 3G D50 and 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX GD just to name a few. Trust us, we don’t have the time to name them all. Just go watch the movie!

  1. “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” (1968)

We had to include at least one for the kids! 6 cars were made for the film, including a fully functional car fitted with a Ford 3000 V6 engine and automatic transmission.

We know that times are crazy right now, and at Steve Landers Auto Group, we’re here to help. Whether you need a new car or your current car has service needs, we’ll be here.
